I am planning on starting a 5 gallon tank. I think since it is small i can easily get pretty decent lighting ( up to 3w/g). I will just use black gravel and i have seachem flourish to add as needed. I would like a center piece of driftwood with a plant that i can tie on to it and it will form a small carpet over parts of it. I would also like a plant to carpet parts of the bottom and then something a bit larger for the back.
Any ideas or thoughts are welcome.

Heh Stunt11, Welcome to SF, apologies for the dealy in replying!
Sounds good - 5 gallon is a good size because you can still have some decent sized plants in there.
Carpet plants - I would go for glossostigma with that light level and excel or hemianthus.
For the wood I would go for some moss and maybe a single anubias nana.
Background - some sagitaria subulata on one side and some limnophilia or similar on the other side.
Maybe put a single small crypt species in the mid ground as a feature?
That should give you some idead anyway mate.
