Some pics of a species I wished to breed for a long time: A. panduro

The markings are very individual, so it's easy to spot the two pairs left. One female was a little dishevelled and didn't make it.apistogramma-panduro-DSC_3258.jpgImage Enlarger

The Pangio sp. is the one we still have listed as sp. 'PAN03' right?

Hm, I still reckon it doesn't match that description, plus P. alternans was described from eastern Borneo so quite unlikely to be in the trade - what do you think?

Apistos are very nice too, by the way. Smile

Difficult to say. If the pic on loaches shows a real P. alternans, I would say it's a different species.

I missed the description of P. alternans. If D. Bohlen says, that's a undescribed species I would tend to agree.

And yes, the "Pandurini" are very nice. Hope to have some fry in the next weeks. One seperated pair is at work.

Cheers Charles

I would say your Pangios are the same as the P. alternans from loaches.com. Have you seen this: http://www.seriouslyfish.com/f.....wn-pangio/
I have this Pangio species too, and the patterning seems to be very variabel.

I'm with Matt and don't think we have P. alternans.

May I have the copy, too please?

BTW: the females seems to have greenish eggs...

Cheers,

Thomas

Hi Charles

Are they happy to build 'nests' in the gravel, or does one need to provide some caves in the spawning tank? Just curious how they compare to other apistos in terms of breeding behaviour.

Cheers

Jakub
