Can anyone recomend a really good aquatic plant book? I'm looking for something with extensive, easy to ID pictures as well as as detailed care for a wide range of species.

Thanks in advance.
JC

I've found this book to be helpful.

Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

I don't know if I have an older version of the book that Eyrie mentioned but it's called 'The Encyclopedia of Aquarium Plants' by Peter Hiscock.

A fantastic book - tells you all about water quality, lighitng, Co2, nutrients etc, has a section on setting up various biotopes and half of the book is pics and profiles of plants - great book for anyone interested in aquarium plants.

Jared, The tropicana catalogue is useful as a basic guide and you can order it from their website. It provides illustrations and photos of each plant as well as a short description and brief overview of requirements.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've just picked up a copy of "The Aquarium Plant Handbook". Produced by Oriental Aquarium in Singapore.

For pics and descriptions on a huge range of plants it's great. And it has a forward by the man himself, Takashi Amano. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Cheers
