Updates required here given the proliferation of new species described recently, not least by our own Mr. Van der Voort.

First question is, how has the known distribution of B. badis been affected by the new species descriptions? Is it now considered absent from previous locations?

No and it's only Badis soraya that previously could have been misidentified as Badis badis.

Got quite a few new images to add. Are these two forms B. badis?

Tentatively. Having said that, a more proper reply can be given after examination.

I would note that their id is tentative, though.

I would apply the same tentative ID for now. One thing to keep in mind is that making an ID from a single photo/specimen that additionally may or may not be Photoshopped to look brighter and what not, is not ideal for Badis badis group spp. in my opinion. Having a lot more specimens to look at, preferably preserved would make for a more solid ID.
