Could someone please describe the perfect set up for Chinese algea eaters (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri)? It would be the only species in the tank .Thank You

How many fish? You're looking at a large aquarium for more than one, needn't be tall but a significant footprint will be required, with decent filtration and flow provided either by a manifold system or a linear-flow pump (easiest option). Temperatures as found in the natural range, good lighting to encourage aufwuchs, LEDs supplemented with a T5 would provide ripple lines on the substrate which would show these fish off to best advantage. Coarse sand with rounded rockwork and wood might give a decent approximation of the type of habitat these fish may inhabit.
