I have followed the recommendations in the database here and moved my collection of 3 females and 4 males to a newly established 200 liter tank. It has 8 caves providing an abundance of hiding places. It also has a large number of young plants from the Lake which hopefully will grow to provide yet more cover.
At the moment they are very timid and well behaved. They only explode out of their hiding places at feeding time. At between 6 and 7 cms they are still juveniles, no doubt as they grow their aggressive behavior will develop. Although they were all collected from the same location their colour varies from pale to intense.
