hi
in my current set up i have a fluval 303 running at approx 130 uk gallons per hour

i also have another fluval 303 sitting redundant

my question is can i run the second one inline with the first

but not power up the pump

will this restrict the flow a lot or will it be ok as i think that the 303 is bigger than the job it needs to do anyhow my tank is 125 litre/27 gallons

i would like to put in a bio media in the second one so clean water is all that passes thru it

the media i was going to use is kaldness k1 most koi keepers will have heard of this
the surface area of this media is staggering and it will greatly improve the water quality in my opinion
