These are one of my favorite fish! I just love watching them! Today I added a new g. ocellatus from the Q tank to my goby tank with another g. ocellatus that has lived and thrived in this tank for several months as the only gastro. They went at it immediately for at least 30 minutes with the larger resident winning the day. Now that that's settled they're getting on fine!

I'm trying to figure out how to put the r in gastromyzon in the title?? Not smart enough. /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> If anyone can, please do.

Great vid's /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />

I have had similar experiences with most of the hillstream loaches, probably the longest sparring sessions have involved G. ctenocephalus and Sewellia spotted.

I added the 'r' to the title /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Great videos Jim. Do they compete for a particular spot in the tank or simply for overall dominance?

Thanks for fixing that Mark. Matt, this was the first meeting of these two so they were just getting to know each other and figuring out who is boss. I have had hillies compete for a particular rock in other tanks, usually right in front of a powerhead.
