A friend passed 9 of these interesting fish to me to try and breed, we think they are Gymnochanda verae.

Sorry for the crappy picture, the tannins and dim light make it hard to photograph anything in this tank.
Going by the extended dorsal/anal fins, I have 4 males and 5 females. Can't find much information on Gymnochanda breeding online at all, aside from a brief mention that it could be morning sun induced. Wondering if anyone has done any of the species in this genus before and has some tips. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
