Just thought I'd share this fish with everyone. Only five came into the UK. They were caught at Belem, Brazil quite close to the shipping station.

Hi Guys
these are magnificent looking fish with an incredibly well developed brood care routine.
They are on their second spawn in a tank with Geophagus sp. Tapajos Red Head, Hemiodus Gracilis and some Panaque Cochliodon (blue eyed panaque) and have still managed after 11 days free swimming to have about 50 fry left at 3mm tl.
The first spawn are doing well (all 1000 of them) and are up to 3cm tl. Eating us out of house and home.
Mick is right though because my pic doesn't do them justice.

Some of these guys will be winging their way over Europe to India in the next week where hopefully they will grow them on and spawn them. /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />
