Doubtless the loach boys will have seen these already but this German wholesaler has just imported a few different species of Balitorid loaches among which is some very interesting stuff indeed. Some of the better shops in the UK will probably have some of these on sale soon too. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

These are labelled as Sewellia breviventralis and at least one batch has already landed in England. Should be the first time they've been seen on sale and having kept both S. lineolata and S. sp. 'spotted' I want!!! *drools*

Crossostoma lacustre which is endemic to Taiwan.

Homaloptera tweedei; very cute. /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Vanmanenia pingchowensis. An exceptionally rare Chinese species.

Xanthic form of Sinogastromyzon wui.

...and the normal form.

...and this one which is listed as Erromyzon sinensis but actually looks like (and probably is) Pseudogastromyzon cheni.

They are lovely aren't they /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I already have 8 sewellia spotted and have another 8 reserved for me and a group of the Sewellia breviventralis are also reserved for me /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

That Erromyzon sinensis is almost certainly P. cheni

As soon as my new breeding tanks are up and running in the shed, I have the tanks but havent had chance to start building the framework etc yet.

I will probably end up picking them up on my way back from doing my loach talk down in Brighton in June /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Nice. Where is it at and what's the specific subject? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Promise you'll use a laser-pointer for the professional touch. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

I have also been invited out to Norway next Summer /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The talk is on Botia & Balitorids

Mark on tour, brilliant! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Be careful with your laser pen in Ryedale though mate, them Yorkshire lot are scared of owt that's not made of coal! Might be worth hiring a whippet/flat cap/blacking out one tooth as a disguise in case you need to make a run for it... /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Shame on you Matt Ford

Mark will be made most welcome as folk from Cleveland are 'almost Yorkshire' and don't need a passport to come across the border point at Chopgate (or Chopyat as it is pronounced).
