Hey Folks

Sorry for the poor quality photograph but you can see what the fish is.

The fish in the photograph is the Ivory Synodontis. This fish has the scientific name of Synodontis bastiani.

This is a very nasty fish that will attack any fish specie it takes a dislike to. In aquaria the Ivory Synodontis will often suffer from problems with a form of 'cloudy eye'. The cause is unknown and does not seem to relate to changes in pH or nitrite levels etc.

Regards David

Hey Andy

You were extremely lucky if your bastiani behaved. Did you keep these fish to a mature stage or only have them as youngsters?

Regards David, who it appears is aka Davy /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Hey Andy

What tank companions did you mix with the bastiani?
