I simply enjoy looking at Betta biotopes all the while hoping to sample some like these in Bintan and get some nice Betta miniopinna and B. spilotogena. Any way; have a look and enjoy what I think are some of the most interesting habitats on the planet: peat swamps.

Sadly these particular habitats are rapidly disappearing, which is such a shame.

I don't think it's possible through the blog owners. I saw them at an IGL member's house in 2006 in Hamburg - they were spawning - but never heard about the fish since so maybe his are gone too?

Did Michael not have some???

Is this why you were asking about my persephone pelvic colours etc?

Out of 3 I know, 2 have long hair. 1 of them had miniopinna in 2006. But it doesn't matter now because it's not there anymore.

Great links Stefan and yet another species that someone should commit to breeding on a long-term basis.
