Hi Andy,
I also haven't any experience with this species. I will do the same as my similar Lepidocephalichtys, maybe a bit more acidic pH (~6) and softer Water.

They occurs in blackwater streams.

From the K. hipporhynchos pdf: "...is described from the Sampit, Kahayan and Kapuas drainages, southern Borneo".

Between 35 und 45mm. I feed Tubifex, frozen food and tabs but never see them really eat (but searching und burrowing). I reckon that they eat at night /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hey Thomas, how are these doing? How are you liking them?? My LFS informs me that they will order some for next week. I don't really have a tank for them. How would they be in a 30 inch tank like a 20long or 29 gallon? Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim,

mine are in a 15 inch tank without other fishes. Works fine but I would say it isn't necessary to keep them in so small tanks. The other fishes must fit to the Kottelatlimia. They are more quiet loaches. I like them very! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Thanks Thomas! we'll see if they come in?? All my tanks have pretty strong water movement, don't think they'd like that. Maybe I can find room for another small tank?
