Very nice Pictures ... A real underrated little fish.
It is harder to source these days .

they are indeed underrated, had some of these a few years ago, very pretty fish. shame they are not more popular.

As far as I can tell just the one that size. The eggs in the picture have now hatched though (I took them out of the tank) but the fry are really small.

(I'm toying with the idea of trying this species... the question if I can manage breeding them...it seems that in good conditions they will spawn? but for raising, is paramecium good enough?)

BTW, meant to ask you: I saw you article on c.arcuatus on Scotcats...again, really nice... was there a followup (specifically, did you manage to have them breeding consistently)?

They bred again the next year after I moved all my fish into a shed. Again there were several spawnings about a month apart. I got a fair amount of fry (30 odd) before I sold them as a breeding group.
