Anyone know what this is? It is 1 of 2 i found in my live Daphnia. I'm not worried, just curious. I think my Dario Dario have ate them now anyway lol saying that, they were about 2cm long, maybe the shrimps have nabbed them /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

That looks like a glass worm also known as White midge larvae, most fish love them.

cheers MD /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Think I may have the odd few in the daphnia i got yesterday but as said, i'm not concerned /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I'll take it as a bonus although i dont know about nutrtional values, its food anyway /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I got it from Betta Aquaria, no complaints and good price too. Is there any other lfs's in the NE that sells live food as its a bit of a trek for me just for live food.

Yup it's the larvae of a Chaoborus sp. for sure. I can never get my fish to take the frozen ones for some reason...

Edit: here's another pic of one by Mike Noren. Evil-looking face!
