i'm thinking of starting a 15gallon freshwater mudflat tank, with about 3in of substrate, and for lighting im gonna get a mainly plant light.
the fish i'm gonna add are:
marble hatchet fish x6
freshwater flounder x5
bumblebee goby x5
a little bit of water sprite
any suggestions? what do you think? anything would be helpfull

I personally think that with flounders, cories and bubelbees the footprint of a standard 15 gal is a bit too small. As I mentioned before, even the smallest hatchets should have at least a run of 100 cm, everything below that will seriously restrict them in their natural behaviour.
If you could make, or have somebody make, a tank 100x30x20 cm, you'd be only marginally above your 15 gal and could easily acommodate the species you mention.
