so long since i looked at a jewel i forgot "exactly" what it looks like but I'll agree it does look like it has TB or something similar, spine does look twisted. I've seen this happed alot in gold panchax but thankfully mine are ok /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
2nd picture looks pretty juvenile whatever it is.
Not of any help really, sorry /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
I have 1 question, if these are his fish then why doesn't he know what they are? Tell him to research first!!! /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Looks like an old, heavily stunted Hemichromis lifalili.

I don't know how he got them...but he does his research, I suspect that he rescued them from someone

First one is definitely a Hemichromis although I'd be hesitant to say it's lifalili without a better picture. It's spine is certainly deformed.

Second one looks like some kind of Haplochromine cichlid, probably from Lake Malawi. It could be either a juvenile or female. Do you know how big that one is Karlos?

Edit - clearer version of second pic:

Actually it could be H. bimaculatus - that picture looks like it has a yellow caudal with red tipping.. lifalili have blue caudal fins.

Either way the poor thing is in a sod-awful state /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I'm reliably informed that the second fish is probably a Protomelas sp. but knowing the size would really help with a more definite id.
