Well, as promised. Some pictures at last! Right now they're about 1,5 cm TL I'd say. Which I think is close to their max size.

First, a possible male and a possible female?

Then a possible female

I've got at least two specimens who are showing a much redder colouration than the others, I'm assuming those are males. In the first picture you can't really see the red hue that the male(?) has.

Would have thought they would be more shy as well, but they're usually out and about. And they aren't too scared of the camera, either!

Yes, actually they're not bound to the substrate at all like Characidium are. They're always swimming around. Or more like moving like little hummingbirds..

Cool. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Distribution seems pan-Amazonian - it was described from the rio Negro but since recorded from Peru, Colombia and Venezuela!

You don't happen to have the description, Matt?

I did start to take some pictures of the Enneacampus but then the batteries died. Been to lazy to sit down and take more photos. It's hard to get good pictures of the Enneacampus though..

That is some serious lazy! If you can´t be bothered with sitting then you got some serious issues /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

When you got over 30 tanks there's no time to sit down /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Well tha´t´s a kind of luxury problem. I only got ten tanks but the real problem with getting time to suffice is caused by trying to raise two frys of Homo sapiens. The youngest we are trying to wean of live food which is quite time comsuming.

It's a bit messy at the moment (read: it's always messy). Also couldn't be arsed mounting the lights properly since I'm moving soon:

Was also a bit hard to get good pictures since I didn't have a wide angle lens available /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Uh.. I killed it I think. The Moina did fine but the Microfex disappeared slowly but surely.
