Not many Malagasy fish around. There are a couple of colour forms of this one and it seems they can appear in the same spawn.

The most common one is the orange form, the blue appears at a lower frequency, although the blue is perhaps more attractive.

Yes the seller was only selling orange ones. I'm already collecting eggs though so hopefully in a few month's time I'll have some of both.

The fish we have are from stock originally collected by Paul Louiselle, and all from a single population AFAIK, but both forms have resulted from spawning them. Not sure what the situation is with other populations.
