 Hi, Could anyone help identify these `kuhli loaches`? I`ve had them in tank for some seven years, five of which in beech litter at pH near 5.0.  wish to expand the small group (3?) making sure to stay in same species. Thx fr yr help, HeinB

I would say P. myersi with aberrant colour pattern, but best wait for Thomas here.

Thank you Matt and Thomas. i've had these fish for years but never had fry. Could pH 5 be too low? The water is still and turbid, could this be a problem? They feed mostly on bloodworms and tubifex that occur plenty and 'by themselves'  in the litter substrate. Large tank, few and only small fish for company (boraras, harlequins, chocolate gurami). Have you any suggestions to increase chances? BW HeinB

Unsure on the pH, but in Malaysia we collected striped kuhlis at several places and the water was always clear and flowing.
