Great pics as always Mike mate. Still jealous of those Heros and the ellioti is a stunner. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> What's the species name for the "cutter"? I can't work it out.

I'm in love with the elliotti - what a stunning fish /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" /> I've never been a cichlid fan, but with fish like those, it's hard to resist!

Top notch pics as usual /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />

Been looking for more information on these - to my n00b eyes they look like microgeophagus ramirez /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> but they could actually be Thorichthys ellioti ? If so, t'internet says "midly aggressive"

Definitely T. ellioti and not M. ramirezi. I wonder what constitutes "mild" aggression though? Fierce facial expression? Expletives? Poke in the eye?

Yes definately Thorichthys ellioti, and probably the the most mild mannered
cichlid I have ever kept, but then they haven't bred yet,
Gorgeous looking fish though and getting prettier as the grow out.
