I stumbled onto this looking for info on the effectiveness of UV on mycobacteria. Has anyone heard of this? Any opinions??
Lots of science that makes my head hurt but it's interesting!

"It is important to note that Aquarium Redox can be a complex subject with some basic principles to also understand, however this is a subject that simply reading one section of this article will yield incomplete information. For this reason I recommend reading the whole article (as well as links provided) for a more thorough understanding ( it may take more than one reading as well) "
That's for sure!

I woulnt worry about this too much unless you have a reef tank. Regular water changes in freshwater tanks normally solve any problems. I know one guy that uses ozone in a freshwater skimmer on a huge tank but although interesting i dont think the expense of buying a ReDox meter warrants it?
