Some pics of my gold piranha. I had this fish for a good few years, but had to get rid of it recently pending my relocation. A sad day /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> In the third pic the stuff covering its body is tiny bubbles of air as it had just been added to the tank. I included that pic as you can see its teeth quite well.

Evil bugger that fish was /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Hell of a specimen though.

Shame you had to get rid of him /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

You can't really keep these with anything else Keith. This one had munched its way through a tank of larger red-bellied piranhas before I got it /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> There has been a bit of success keeping it in shoals in massive tanks though.

Oh Wow! That is a stunner!

It's a shame they have no tolerance of other fish!

BTW Matt, i've been looking through some post's here, i see you have some schistura pridii? They are gorgeous fish, any luck in breeding them yet?

David

Hi David, yes it was a beautiful specimen....sigh. Sadly the S. pridii went on the same day as did loads of other nice stuff. I'm moving to Barcelona in a few weeks and there was just no way to take 25-odd tanks with me /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> They were superb fish to keep though, very easy to feed and totally peaceful with one another. They also exhibited some amazing social behaviour, but I want to confirm my suspicions with some people you also know before I'm confident to discuss it on here. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

And a pity you couldn't take them all with you /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
