After a period of inactivity in the fish house I spotted the first fry today from my Barbus hulstaerti and Sundadanio axelrodi. Also more young ones from my Barbus candens, Axelrodia stigmatias, Danio erythromicron and Aphanius iberus.

Will get pics when they are big enough. I can post water stats etc. if anyone is interested in these little fishes.

Curious if you saw hulstaerti-fry appearing with the parents still in the tank? Or did you move them?

I was watching the Aphanius transgrediens spawning yesterday evening and caught my first glimpse of the A. mento for a while too. Time to start collecting eggs methinks.

Please do go ahead and post water parameters. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Fun with the Aphanius spp. I am prepering a bredding tank for some A mento. First time for me. So breeding info, and info regarding water would be off interest.

Do you know which population of A. mento it is Erlend? Some require brackish water while others don't.

Also are you keeping them in an aquarium or outdoors?

I am planing to keeping them in a aquarium. I currently have them in a smal tank at work, but I have prepared a tank for them back her at home. The tank in 60 x 30 x 30 cm, a lot of plants, stones and wood. I have also added some salt to the water. At work I have very little salt in the water.

The fishes are imported from Singapore.
