It all happened after the heavy thunder storm yesterday...went to do some packing and saw this weird thing that happened...my semi-adult male Betta Channoides...

With huge bloated stomach full of air, transparent and visible, when it gasp air, it is clearly visible that there will be a clump of air bubble stuck in the right gill causing a bit of imbalance swimming before it "open" it's gill to release the air...also there are blood clough at the bottom of the stomach as well as some around it...

Any one come across this weird stuff before??? It happened after a thunder storm afternoon, before that it was still healthy

nope, never seen that before - are you thinking that the air pressure change had something to do with it?

is that the view from your window behind the fish?

Colin: no idea what happen, just out of a sudden right after an hour of thunder storm, curious about that as it's only one out of five I kept together that happen, and yes, that's window view behind the fish

Fish still alive, it shows no sign of swim bladder disorder as it resides near the bottom of the tank...

Wow incredible garden!

I wonder if that was actually an internal organ problem rather than simply trapped air or am i way off the mark?
