I got 10 of these last weekend, they were on sale as Devario sp but were on the list as Devario sp "Giant" I cant decide if they are Devario devario or another species.

They are around 2" and looking at them in the tank they are to squat to be Giant Danio's, just wondered what you guys thought.

They don't look like the D. devario I've seen before Mark. Maybe D. acrostomus?

Is it not the standard "Giant Danio" (D. aequipinnatus)?

Excuse my utter, utter lack of knowledge about Danios and if I'm well off the mark please enlighten me /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

You could be right Dunc, the problem is that there are now that many Devario with only very slight differences in markings separating them and so far no body can decide 100% which these are /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

There is a possibility that I actually have more than one species among this group of 10 which could be worrying considering they are having mass spawning sessions on a weekly basis /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
