They're awesome, I don't think I've ever seen them before.

Bet they'll be setting you back a wee bit Mark? /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

This is the first time they have ever been impoted Dunc.

Yeah around £35 each, which is very cheap compared to what I have heard a couple of other shops might have to charge if they get them in /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

I have set up a Q tank for them that is full of pipes and cobbles for now but when the shed is done they will either move into a 4ft down there or the 75gallon in the living room with a bit of tinkering to stock alreay there.

Just got back from Pier. These extremely rare fish are a bargain @ £35. Beautiful, beautiful fish.
There aren't very many left. So anyone who is covetous of this fish had better make tracks there soon.

Well here they are, the pictures are not the best as they are still in their bags and had been in there for around 4 hours:

These are simply stunning fish, once settled I will add some more pics

Reva - so far these seem very placid for a Yasuhikotakia species, I guess time will tell but I dont expect them to be anywhere near as feisty as skunks for instance.

Well, congrats on the great acquisition! I am jealous, and waiting to hear the report on temperament. Being a botia freak, I would set up a tank just to have them, but we havent seen them here yet. What tankmates will they have? Remember, my little thugs did their murder in the dark! /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

At the moment they have no tank mates but I will be adding a small group of dithers eventually, maybe a small group of Danio's or Rasbora's.

Skunks have attitude all the time and even when put in a brand new tank will be clicking and chasing straight away as do eos etc but these guys have made one click so far and are happily swimming in and out of the caves and digging in the fine gravel (which was lovely and flat before they went in /angry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> )

There are still some people of the opinion they are Yasuhikotakia and there for aggressive regardless but a few of us were sceptical of this tag for these beforehand and now are becoming more and more sure that these are not as aggressive as other Yasuhikotakia species, I guess to be really sure only time will tell.
