I just found a cool map site:

Settings are to the left.

It will come up set to:

Chapter: freshwater diversity > contemporary freshwater diversity > Global Diversity Patterns in Freshwater Systems

Base Layers and Overlays: Base Layers: basic

                                      Overlays: lakes + rivers

Map Layers: change from: species richness of native freshwater amphibians,

                                 to: species richness of native freshwater fishes

To view fish numbers in various river basins:

Legend: has the key to the colors

You can zoom in by double clicking or using the mag glasses to the left of the map.

Its not complete, but it pretty cool:
