I am worried /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
I'm new to Marine, I got the Live Rock 5 days ago. Polyps have developed, then little snails hatched, then little silver things started to run round the rock and sand and not i have discovered a brown slug zooming over the glass and on the pump, what do I do, is this slug a bad thing? do I remove it?
Please help /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
it's quite common for nudibranchs to hide away in live rock and coral and only appear after a while in your tank. Over the weeks, months and years you will discover a lot of new stuff and it could include amphipods, shrimps, crabs... even octopuses have been known to just appear one day but that is the beauty of live rock.
I wouldn't worry about the slug unless you see it actually eating a coral. It will probably just go about its business and disappear one day.
take pics if you can
cheers and welcome to SF
