I am setting up a community tank in a 29 gallon aquarium. I plan on having some zebra danios, scissortail rasboras, possibly 1 red fin shark, and some corys. I'd really like to have some bamboo shrimp in the tank but want to make sure they wouldn't just end up as snacks. Do you think the shrimp would be safe with the fish listed?

I have had the bamboo shrimp in with community fish and they are fine, from your list my only concern would be the red fin shark, they will be fine with the danios and rasboras as they live higher in the water and the cories are ideal bottom fish to have with bamboo's.

How many would be ideal in a 29 gal aquarium? I'd like to have 2 or 3. I have a medium sized pleco, so the shrimp would share bottom space with the pleco, cory's, and 2 cherry barbs.

2 or 3 shrimp will be fine in that size tank. Do you have some wood in there - they like roaming up and down this and it would keep them out of the pleco's way.

Make sure there's a bit of flow too as they're filter feeders that like to sit in the flow to feed.
