Thanks for the nice replies /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I put it down to good care and quality livestock at my lfs, varied feeding and good external filtration.
I keep water not fish /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />
Will post more over the next couple of days to keep Malti quiet /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Some of the next pics have been taken from some great camera tips from Mike /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />

Compared to other loach's I agree they are but I think they're worth every penny due to the small adult size and make a stunning addition shoaling. I'm going to get some more /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
I'll send you a pm shortly /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Thanks /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
The Furcata are excellent, colours coming along great now aswell as they get a little bigger and settled. I still haven't got a good photo of them yet though /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> They adore frozen cyclops along with other foods like frozen brineshrimp, daphnia and bloodworm, tetramin flake crumbled and JMC high protien tiny pellets along with micro pellets etc. Id prefer they didnt eat the bloodworm due to mouth/throat size but they won't listen to me /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I have a large cannistor filter on as I like to "overfilter" and feed many varied foods in to cater for all, hence I'm also overstocked BUT!! I keep a strict eye on water params and do weekly 25-30% waterchanges.
*Note to newbies*
DON'T do as I do, DO as I say /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I don't promote/reccomend overstocking but if your experience enough you can get away with it aslong as your careful. Stick to beginners guidlines and you'll be fine /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think that the rule of 1" of fish per cubic whatnot of water is a bit of a fallacy. It totally depends on the species you have and the level of maintenance being carried out, plus some other factors for me. Anyway this for another thread methinks, but just to say Richy your tank doesn't look overstocked and as mentioned earlier the fish look very healthy. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
