Ah just asking as I could only see males in the pics. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> You going to try and find them some 'action'?

You reckon they're both males? I thought they were a bit young to tell tbh. Isn't the pointed first dorsal fin meant to be indication of the sex? These two seem to have it quite small.

Please enlighten me though as I have no idea /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="Laugh" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

They're quite easy to sex at even a young age mate but you almost never see females on sale. This is a female:

Ahh brilliant mate cheers. My local LFS had some with the pink stomach area so I'll see if he'll exchange.

I was (clearly incorrectly /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />) led to believe that the pink belly area wouldn't develop in the juveniles for some time.

I've read in a few places that the first dorsal ray is indicative of gender in Rams. Is that just myth?

that is a pair for definite, second last pic clearly shows the females ovipositor, female left male right.
the first ray of the dorsal should be larger in the males but through all the breedings it's not as good an indicator of sexes anymore.

Ahh I see. They are pretty dinky - maybe 2cm SL.

Cheers Mick /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />

Aye it's just rooting them in sand is a pain. Thought we'd keep them like that for a bit while the fish settle.
