A fellow fish enthusiast mentioned about trimming the oxygen tube that goes up the centre of the tank in my 60L BiOrb, as it could help more O2 get into the water instead of it being delivered straight to the surface.

Just wondering if anyone has done this? It seems logical to me

Hm, I don't have any experience with these myself but as far as I know the airbubbles themselves won't aerate the water a whole lot, but rather the turbulance created at the water surface making the oxygen exchange greater.
