I inherited a 4 foot 170 litre tank and thought i,d gives this "aquarist" malarkey a goi have had a ball with the 9 neon tetras , and the tiny wild green neons [ i think theres 14 of them] are the best little shoalers.

Hey footshot

Well done with your first posting. The fish in your beautiful aquarium look well.

Nice tank. /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" /> I see a couple of other tetra species in there too. The only comment I have is that those tall, ferny-looking plants are not true aquatics and tend to rot quite quickly so do keep an eye on them.

My parents currently reside in Daventry which is quite near you. Oh, and welcome to the forums! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Thanks Guys a lot of it is owing to the great forums here to be honest and i,m sticking to Tetras mainly heres the current population, which per my calculations id just over half capacity
Plec [sailfin gibbicecep] 2
Flame Tetra 6 [one of wich is debateabley something else lol]
Neon Tetra 8
Glowlight Tetra 5
Black Neon 6 with 2 look alikes [no flourescence and a litle larger]
Wild green Neons 15 [so tiny!!]
Sucking Loach 1 [who seems to delight in digging] [10 cm]
Albino CoryDora 1
and one unidentified tetra shaped plainlooking thing with no colour and larger eyes than a neon

Unidentified one looks like it might be a Moenkhausia sp. but it's really difficult to tell. If you can get a clearer shot one of us might be able to id it for you. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
