I've just redone my 20lt tank. There's only 4 amano shrimp in there. Anyone got any suggestions what else I can put in there?
Hope you like it /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Cute tank Nessie /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> Are you wanting to add fish or join the shrimp craze?

Hi Matt,
Not sure which way to go really. Fish may look nice in there but I'm quite limited aren't I? I'm Not sure what would suit the look.
Shrimps are an option too but which ones to go for?
whatever I choose I can't add to my larger tank as my angels are getting pretty big now and they wouldn't take too kindly to any smaller additions.

I want that bit of wood, it's sexy /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
Given time you might need some root tabs, especially for the swords. Looks nice and even better when the plants take hold even more /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Try adding some leaf litter nessie. Oak or beech are both ok to use if you dry them out thoroughly first, or you can buy Indian Almond (Ketapang) leaves from various places. These would decompose slowly and the microorganisms that result are great food for shrimp. Makes the tank look really natural too. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hi Matt,
I've seen those almond leaves in my LFS, I wondered what they were used for.
Now I know /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Thanks

I always think moss-like plants look good in shrimp tanks, too. Hehe nessie now we've started we won't stop! /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Hey Matt......
Funny you should mention moss, I went to get some java moss for the little tank today but the LFS didn't have any /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
Hopefully they'll have some next time.

Three months ago I could have sent you all the moss you'd ever need. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Try this place. I've bought moss from there on a couple of occasions and they give you really generous portions. Very good foods too. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
