I hope it is okay to post my scanned drawings and painting here. I love to make koi and fancy goldfish, but I would love to learn how to make other fish.
If it is not alowed, plz delete them.

Yeah it's definitely allowed and I guess this is the most appropriate forum to use /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Have you ever tried using a graphic tablet to draw/colour, Liz? I know it's not as fun as real painting but you could create some stunning images with it I'm sure.

Thanks Dunc. No, I haven't. I use the "oldfashioned" pencils and brushes for a special reason, I have Muscle and Soft Tissue Rheumatism, which is in my hands and fingers too. By drawing and painting I keep at least my hands and fingers active. Btw, as you might have already seen, I use pictures from almost everyone here so if I run into copyrights somewhere, please don't get angry.

you're doing a fantastic job and I'd be VERY suprised if anyone was offended by you drawing a picture of their fish /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> If you have any doubts you could ask the person for permission but i'm sure there wouldn't be any problems /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Keep drawing I say /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /thumbs_up.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbs_up.gif" />
You can use any photo's i post if you want too /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Heres a fav of mine, see what you can do with it /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Thanks Malti. I am not satisfied with that one. Or rather, the original looks way better because the colors don't get transfered right, after scanning the paintings. I should get a camera, but I could use that money for other things.

Thank you so much, Mick. Are you also going to save my night by helping me with a struggle to find an english word I can't find? I wont be able to get some sleep if I can't solve this /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> I am searching for the correct word for the effect some colors have on some animals like the peackock and the pidgeon . I think it has something to do with iridescent, you know, the effect of a blue and green glow. I give up...Can't find it. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

The dutch term is Iriscerend, but it is not in the dictionary I use. Thanks so much for your help.
And on top off this post I just discovered one of my young veil-tails has died. I think it was something you guys call dropsy, blown up like a balloon and off standing scales. I had her in my brandnew hospitaltank, but alas, she's past on. A sad way to end my night. I hope it is not contagious though.
