Was wondering what would go well with White Cloud Mountain Minnow?
I feel like the choices are limited by their lower temperature range, but they are lovely fish!

Depends on you tank size but keep them with fish that like cooler, well oxygenated water like some danios, barbs and hillstream loaches.

I think white clouds are lovely fish too and in many ways are the perfect pet fish.

I think white clouds are lovely fish too and in many ways are the perfect pet fish.

The tank is 81 x 31 x 41 cm the old juwel rekord 80.
They do seem so great for beginners, but the lower subtropical temperature makes it hard to find companions that are suited to a tank less than 3 foot.
Any recommendations for the ideal companions?

I keep them with Rhinogobius (probably R. duospilus) and a few hillstream species.

The Rhinogobius are fun to watch and good companions for the Tanichthys.

R. wui is not a scientifically valid name but a synonym of R. duospilus.

What do people think of keeping pepper cories with them?
What barbs would work best?
Thanks for all the help.
