Hi I have only recently had a small biorb and was advised to get some White Cloud Mountain Minnows but my problem is that they seem to be very happy in their surroundings so much so that they have already managed to lay what seems like 3 batches of eggs as initially there was about 20 tiny fry then only a short time after another about 20 this was after having them for about 3 months, well some have gone but there was about 3-4 of the original ones which are about 5 mms roughly and another 8 or so of the second lot but now there are another tiny batch which have hatched out - when the first lot hatched out I went to the pet store where I bought them and they told me not to worry as the parent fish eat them but this doesn't seem to be the case - can somebody tell me how often do these little fish lay eggs as I only had 3 to start with? I would appreciate any advice as they are adorable but my little 15ltr tank is going to over run with them very soon.

If happy and well fed they could spawn as often once or twice a week. I have found that they generally find an equilibrium and typically do not over populate their tank space.

Well my little tank should only have 6-8 small fish so unless the parent fish eat them I will have many more - I suppose the only other way is to take the male fish out as I am sure that there are 2 females and the one male?
