Still no activity from the Poecilocharax weitzmani. The Sturisoma’s, the Copella arnoldi’s and the Dicrossus maculatus has breed in this tank. I also introduced a young couple Taeniacara candidi in this tank and hope that they will breed also.

Yes, that’s right. I introduced them a few months ago. I’ve got 4 specimens in it.

This is what I keep in this tank:

    18 Nannobrycon unifasciatus
    7 Corydoras aeneus
    7 Poecilocharax weitzmani
    5 Hypoptopoma sp.
    4 Mesonauta egregius
    4 Sturisoma festivum
    1m 1f Taeniacara candidi
1f Dicrossus maculatus (going to get 1m 3f next Tuesday)

In the 1m tank next to this I keep the Copella arnoldi couple together with Otocinclus sp. and 1m Apistogramma sp. Nanay. The A. sp. Nanay is going to someone else who has some females over.

The only change I made is that I replaced the three 50W GU10 spots for 3 5W LED construction lights. The rest is still the same as in the first posts.

These are the LED construction lights that I have above the tank.

Ok, so what is your complete light setup?
Are you happy with the light these construction lamps give? How are your plants reacting?
Also how is your background holding up? Has there been any cracking?

Took a look at your other videos on youtube. Good stuff.

The set-up that I have with these lights is just how I wanted it, three 5W LED construction bulbs on a row. Two just straight above the water and one under a corner of 45 degrees. I see no difference at the plants because the plants that I use are not difficult to keep. De Echinodorus is growing out of the water and is creating new juvenile leaves next to the old leaves. For the Echinodorus and the Hydrocleis I’m adding only clay at the roots.

The background is just doing fine and no cracking or what so ever. I gave it a good coating to so that the water could not effect it.
