The boys finally caught a larger swamp eel not an adult only 11 inches.
The only tank I had available had not been cleaned so the photos are bit fuzzy.

They also brought another Freddy, a yellow meeki (minus ocular blotch) and a C. salvini with lots of colour. There was also a smaller fish which is probably another Freddy.

This eel can also breath air. When it was delivered in the usual bottle it was standing on its tail with its head out of the water.

Haha at last – fantastic! How’s it settling in?

Eels are tough guys that put up with just about any abuse and poor conditions. This one looks quite happy in the holding tank with his strange mixture of companions.
My home made filters have polished the water so I can take photos.
The small fish that I thought to be a Freddy appears to just that. He is being very friendly with the C.salvini, probably likes the colourful outfit.
