    I just receive pairs of that very small red betta and I’m looking for informations of the terra tipica if any available.Adult fish are 4 cm long very tiny but very beautiful and not too difficult to breed.I will make pics as soon as I get my camera back.

    Is it a valid species Hervé? From which country?

    Yes Mat it is a new species from somewhere a hidden place in Indonesia,the tiniest betta up to now.No yet described but I was told it will be done soon

    There is a Tanjung Api Api in South Sumatra province, near the mouth of the Musi river.

    ¬†There is also a place called Bagansiapiapi much further north, in Riau province, and I have seen the fish being sold as Betta sp. ‘Bagan Shiapiapi’. There appear to be some pockets of forest remaining in this area, too:
