    Interesting question!

    They should be protected from velvet at least I think, the Oodinium parasite should have a hard time latching on through the shell.

    Yeah I never gave it any real thought – and never kept shrimps before, until recently, for that matter.

    any disease or parasite of shrimp is harmful to fish, only the gill parasite is shared between both species

    Not a shrimp to fish link, but a crayfish to frog link.

     

    The fungus killing frogs in many places around the world can infect and sicken crayfish which can also act as a disease reservoir for frogs:
