    characodon lateralis ‘los pinos’ Durango. Mexico, one of the goodeid group of livebearers.

    got these about a year ago, as yet still not named.
    had a female drop about 12 fry a few days before my holidays.
    not sure how many folks have these in the UK.

    i keep my los berros in a large group, males can be a bit bullyish, but plenty of cover and they will be fine, i leave my fry in with the adults too.

    They aren’t that small really. Male is about 3 cm maybe and female 4. But they’re pretty skinny.
