    are there any other ones
its just because you said “usually”

if so how do you tell them apart?

Well, I have also seen paleatus and sterbai as albinos – I guess it would all be in the body shape and that albino aeneus are quite cheap whereas the other two still have much higher prices.

paleatus can generally have longer fins and you can still see traces of the dots on the albino sterbai that I have seen.

I admit to never having kept them personally as albino fish dont do anything for me. Dont understand why people who develop a strain of albino red tail black shark… lol

i have sterbai anyhow so theyre not the same as them i noticed that the barbels are actually quite long. theyre actually longer than the barbels on my sterbai which are bigger fish than the albino. behaviour is very different too whereas the sterbai very rarely rise from the bottom the albino very rarely touch the bottom

for quite a while now my albinos have only occupied top water
bit concerned as theyre meant to be at bottom
this surely is not normal behaviour
are they perhaps not happy with an occupant at lower level?
    the sterbai seem happy enough

    any thoughts
