Just about to leave for a one week trip, in order to help set up a captive breeding program for the native population of Aphanius fasciatus and search for the potentially extinct river blenny Salaria fluviatilis in some unexplored areas. Potentially no internet connection for the duration, but if it’s possible to update while over there will do so. 🙂

Curious to hear how this trip went. Did you find any Salaria fluviatilis?  How is the captive breeding program going?  Is any DNA testing being performed as part of the program?
