Hey! I just noticed one of my panda cory’s left half of mouth has turned red. He hasn’t lost any babels yet, but they sure do look less sturdy. He’s the only one affected, and I’ve had them all for more than a year now. Is there any way to treat it?

Try antibiotics, perhaps kanamycin… this is near certainly bacterial.

Thanks for the quick answer. Should I quarantine him?

I would treat in the tank he is (unless it is a very large tank and there is a cost issue)

I’m currently using API Fish Bacter Stop. Has anyone got any experience with it? Does it work with damaged barbels?

It appears to be the same as Melafix. see.

Generally useless except for possibly fin regeneration.
