    Hey,

I have a question about my flying fox.
He is in a tank with 6 danios, which I feed flake food twice a day. I also feed the fox algae wafers (about one a day) though he doesn’t seem to crazy about them. In fact the danios are often more interested in it than he is!

I’ve read about feeding blanched spinach to flying foxes so I gave it a try today and he loves it! He is going to town on that leaf as we speak. My worry is that he is eating too much as I know that overfeeding is a common issue when it comes to fish.

Should I only give him small pieces of Spinach or is this not a big deal?
I gave him one small leaf (2 inches by 1 inch approx).

Here he is with his leaf. He is about 2.5 inches long I would guess.
Sorry for the bad quality cellphone picture heh.

    Thanks for any advice!

    Hey

Don’t worry. A spinach leaf of the dimensions you mention will do your fox no harm. Now your fox has started to eat you will find ‘he’ takes flakes and granular food also. Whilst feeding the spinach remember to make extra water changes as food like this will add to the ‘natural’ pollution levels of your aquarium.

    Regards David
