Saw a group of 4 in a local store (100CHF for all 4). Never seen then before and they are certainly striking with their bright red tails. They seemed skittish and apparently need highly oxygenated water. Is anyone keeping these or has any more info about them?

If only had a 6ft river syle aquarium

This attractive fish appears here in the profiles (knowledge base)

Lots of comments about keeping these beautiful fish on the Web. Some negative some positive.

I guess in Switzerland they would have to learn to ski

Beautiful fish, I’ve done well with them in a wide and deep 36″, but they need a 48″ as a realistic minimum.
We like those here, they’re great display animals.
There are some fish that come mixed in, not sure what they are, they look similar but the eyes turn black when feeling nowty, very different in behaviour, like comparing denisonii and chalakkudiensis.
