    Hi, I’ll have a 222 liter (110*45*45)

tank available for new inhabitants soon, and I’m thinking about going oldschool with some Macropods.

But to the only male, how many females would be suitable for a tank of this small size?

Inidvidual fish will always vary in behaviour, but myself I’d be putting 3-4 females, and giving the male a rest every now and then.

Thank you! That was, more or less, what I was hoping for.

And if I were to go with dwarf gouramis instead, using the 222 liter tank as a species tank, how should I stock it to keep aggression to a minimum?

Depends on what you want to keep them for, to give them the most space and enjoy their behaviour I’d stay at 2, maybe 3 males and 5 females, and have somewhere to move a subordinate male if things got too rough.
